About
One of the smallest and the most beautiful parks in Moscow, the Lilac Garden was founded on the place where famous Russian botanist Leonid Kolesnikov bred his beautiful lilacs. The park boasts a large collection of lilac breeds, both Russian and foreign, including 21 breeds created by Kolesnikov. There's the white Galina Ulanova, named after the famous Russian ballerina, the snow-white Soviet Arctic, the deep purple Twilight, the blue Hope, the pink Sky of Moscow and the Morning of Moscow, the magenta Kremlin Clock. Come here in May to enjoy the lilac blooming time when the scent of lilacs is hovering all over the garden.
