NORTHWEST

The Northwest is one of the richest areas of Russia in terms of history and nature but, sadly, most unfrequented by travellers. The area covers a vast territory that stretches from Kaliningrad, along the borders of Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Norway all the way towards the Arctic Ocean in the North and the Ural Mountains in the East. If it's your first visit to the North, we recommend starting from Pskov and Leningrad regions. They are easily accessible by train, plane, bus, or a car, and have a lot to offer.
