ХУДОЖЕСТВЕННЫЙ МУЗЕЙ ИМ. КРАМСКОГО

Today this beautiful baroque palace is hidden behind the massive Stalin-era building of Russian Railways. It was built in the end of the 18th century as the residence of the governor of Voronezh. The building was converted into a museum in 1911, it was named after Ivan Kramskoy, a famous 19th-century Russian painter who was born in Voronezh. Collection highlights include Ancient Egyptian objects, sarcophagus, urns and various figurines brought to Russia by Estonian orientalist Otto Friedrich von Richter in 1815. The collection originally based in the Tartu University in Estonia but was evacuated to Voronezh during the World War I and never returned back. The rest of the collection is Russian art from the 18th to the 20th century.

GOTO PREDESTINATION

ГОТО ПРЕДЕСТИНАЦИЯ

About

A new tourist attraction in Voronezh, Goto Predestination is a full-scale copy of an early 18th-century navy flagship commissioned by Peter the Great and built at the Voronezh wharf for the Azov flotilla. The ship was in service for less than a decade, until it was given to the Ottoman Empire as a part of a treaty between the two country. Today, the new Goto Predestination is moored next to the Admiralty Square in the centre of Voronezh. You can only visit the ship on a guided tour in Russian which will take you around the ship and tell you about the history of Russian fleet. It's best to arrive early to buy a ticket, they usually get sold out 2-3h prior to the start of the guided tour.
