SCARLET SAILS PARK
ПАРК "АЛЫЕ ПАРУСА"

About
A recently renovated park was originally founded in 1975 on the left bank of the Voronezh reservoir. The park is famous for its pine forest and a sand beach. Although swimming in the reservoir is prohibited today, you can rent a boat or a pedal boat to see the hilly central part of Voronezh from the river. Scarlet Sails Park was renovated by the French landscape designers who converted it into a multi-purpose public space where you can walk and relax on the lawns, play beach volleyball, tennis or basketball, browse books in a public library in a gazebo, watch a performance at the Green theatre, take children to an amusement park, visit a bird park, relax with a cup of good coffee or a smoothie in one of the open-air cafes.

MR MOORE CAT CAFE

About
A wonderful time cafe where the main inhabitants are cats. There's around 20 of them, and their number vary because Mr Moore gives them away to those visitors who fell in love with a certain cat and couldn't leave without it. All cats come from a local cat shelter, most of them had hard time living in the streets or with abusing owners. But despite them most of the cats are very sociable and relaxed, and would easily cuddle on your lap or play with a cat toy. The place has free tea and coffee, loads of boards games, play stations and films which they show every Sunday at 8pm. It's best to call them up a few hours in advance to book a place.

PETROVSKY BOOK CLUB
ПЕТРОВСКИЙ КНИЖНЫЙ КЛУБ

About
An unusual bookshop with a good selection of rare books and magazines, a cozy café with excellent breakfast (read more about it here) and homemade desserts and ice-cream, several rooms with sofas and tables where you can read a book, browse a magazine or work on your laptop. Petrovsky Book Club often holds book presentations, various lectures, concerts, performances and workshops. There's a special room for children with children's books and toys. Sadly, most of the books and magazines are in Russian but it's still worth a peek to buy a cool designer postcard and try their delicious desserts.
